We are thrilled to introduce Jochen Freese as the newest partner in our team and feature him in our series “People on Focus.” With his impressive career and extensive experience in the logistics sector, Jochen will be a valuable addition to WCL.
Jochen Freese brings many years of experience as a C-level manager in the logistics industry. He has led the commercial organisations of leading global logistics companies such as Forto Logistics, CEVA Logistics and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. He has also been the CEO for global air and ocean freight and held various senior positions, including the development and management of industry verticals.
Before entering the logistics services industry, Jochen developed and was Managing Director of the world’s first multi-OEM automotive supplier park and worked in South Africa for several years. He started his career as an M.Sc. at a university and in applied research and consulting at the German Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
Jochen is also a business angel for start-ups and an honorary member of the German Association for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW). He has published numerous articles and spoken at conferences.
In his free time, Jochen is a passionate sailor and prefers to spend time on the water. This passion for sailing reflects his ability to keep a clear head and think strategically, even in challenging situations.
