The global logistics and supply chain consultancy WCL will be reorganising itself from 2024.
Martin Sieg has been a Partner and Managing Director at WCL since 2015 and is primarily responsible for M&A and the development of growth and go-to-market strategies for the freight forwarding and logistics industry. Christian Nebel joined the company as a partner in 2022 and took over the shares from Hans-Jürgen Willam in 2023. He specialises in executive search and recruitment.
The four consulting areas
- Recruitment & Executive Search
- Management & strategic consulting
- Organisation of mergers & acquisitions (matchmaker function)
- NVOCC process set-up and implementation
are and remain the basis of WCL’s success. However, Martin Sieg and Christian Nebel have set themselves the goal of positioning the company even better for the future.
Among other things, they plan to expand the global partner network. New representatives have already been recruited for Austria/South-East Europe and Poland. In addition to representatives in Europe, North and South America and Asia, Australia has also been added, meaning that WCL can now advise its customers on 6 continents.
The changes are due to the retirement of founder and long-standing Managing Director Hans-Jürgen Willam. He founded WCL 25 years ago and led it to its current size. He stepped down as Chairman at the end of 2023. However, Willam will remain associated with the company as Senior Advisor.
