As an Operations Manager (m/f/d), you will be the driving force behind a smooth and efficient daily business and will work toward continuous improvements that not only optimize processes but also strengthen collaboration with other departments such as Sales, Logistics, and HR.

In this role, you will directly support the branch management and take responsibility for developing and supporting the operational team. This is about building a strong team and creating an open, motivating work culture that allows for celebrating successes together and advancing the company in a sustainable way.

Responsibilities
Operational Management and Process Optimization: Responsible for the efficiency and quality of operational processes, including resource planning and adherence to schedules, as well as ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding work safety, quality, and customs regulations. Identify and implement process improvements that contribute to increased efficiency. Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve performance improvements.
Leadership and Team Development: You will lead and develop the operational staff through targeted motivation, support, and regular feedback. You value a positive work culture and team-oriented collaboration. Through regular performance and development reviews, you ensure the continuous growth of the team and work on succession planning as well as the development of talent within the team.
Resource and Capacity Management: Effective planning and management of personnel resources for smooth execution of all operational activities, as well as responsibility for procuring external services and optimal resource utilization. You will coordinate closely with the Sales department to ensure the successful operational implementation of customer projects.
Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: By working closely with Sales and Customer Service, you ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction. You are actively involved in resolving operational challenges and ensure that urgent matters are escalated promptly. Additionally, you continually monitor customer requirements and proactively adjust operational processes.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Completed education and/or studies in a commercial field
At least 1-3 years of experience in an operational leadership role, ideally in airfreight/seafreight or logistics
Ability to analyze and optimize complex processes
Experience in leading and developing teams, as well as creating a positive work environment
Independent action and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Very good German and English language skills
Reliability check by the Federal Aviation Office (ZÜP) required
