As a Business Development Manager for the North Europe & Baltic region, you will strengthen our position as a well-established shipping company specializing in break bulk and project cargo. With your expertise and dedication, you will unlock new markets, build strong partnerships, and drive the growth of our international business – all from the maritime hub of Hamburg.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage business relationships with existing and potential clients.
Identify new business opportunities and secure new clients.
Present the company’s services and negotiate contracts for project cargo transportation.
Collaborate closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure the success of each project.
Monitor the market and competitors to adjust commercial strategies accordingly.
Represent the company at industry events and trade fairs.
Maintain constant communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Maximize the utilization of the cargo space allocation for sailings from Northern Europe and the Baltic region.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales or business development within the shipping industry, preferably in project cargo.
Exceptional negotiation skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
In-depth knowledge of the maritime market, logistics, and international transportation.
Advanced level of German and English, both spoken and written.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
